Fresh Updates in Jira Service Management

Customisable Help Centres
Say goodbye to static help portals! Jira Service Management now lets you add rich content to your Help Centres, including images, videos, GIFs, and interactive elements. This makes it easier than ever for teams to create engaging, user-friendly support hubs. This will go a long way to making the portals more dynamic and useful for the end users!

Link Projects to Help Centers
Premium and Enterprise users can now link and unlink service projects to multiple Help Centers, allowing greater flexibility in managing customer interactions. This feature ensures the right resources are visible to customers, reducing confusion and improving response times. 

New CSV Importer Tool
Importing data into Jira Service Management just got easier. The new CSV importer allows teams to seamlessly transfer data like issues and user information into the platform, saving time and eliminating manual entry errors. If your service desk is currently managed via spreadsheets, this feature simplifies the transition, making it easy to import existing data into Jira.

HR Request Type Groups
Within HR templates in Jira Service Management, you can now categorise related request types within projects. For HR teams, this means you can now group requests under categories like ‘Employee Onboarding’, ‘Benefits & Rewards’, or ‘Talent Management’, making it easier for employees to find the right support and for HR teams to manage incoming requests efficiently.

Summary View for Projects
The new summary view gives you a bird’s-eye view of everything happening in your project progress, statuses, and recent activity, all in one place. Instead of hunting down updates across multiple boards, you’ll have everything you need at a glance. It’s perfect for managers and team leads who need to keep tabs on progress without micromanaging.

Manage Jira Work Items in Confluence
Managing Jira work items just got easier with the latest Smart Link list view update in Confluence! You can now update priority, status, and assignee directly from Confluence, without having to navigate between tools.

Simply head to your Smart Link list view, select a Jira work item, and make changes directly from Confluence, it’s that simple!

AI in Jira is continuing to evolve

AI Work Breakdown

Atlassian is doubling down on AI investment in Jira, and some exciting new features are on the way. One of the biggest additions is AI Work Creation from Slack, which is already in beta. This feature allows users to effortlessly create Jira issues directly from Slack messages, using AI to auto-suggest summaries and descriptions based on conversation context. No more copying and pasting details manually, just seamless issue creation straight from your team discussions.

But that’s not all. Jira will soon be smarter at surfacing relevant information with features like, Related Confluence Pages and Similar Jira Issues, helping teams quickly find documentation and related tasks without digging through multiple tabs. Also, if you’ve ever struggled with JQL queries, the new JQL Fixer will automatically detect errors and suggest fixes (a big win!), saving time and frustration.
